July 4: Cyrus on PRI’s The World

July 4th, 2008

Dear Friends,

I’ve been informed that my radio piece on the new bill in the Iranian Parliament that would make “corrupt weblogs” punishable by death, will be airing today.

It will be available on any of these stations (and their Internet streams):

New York – 3 pm Eastern – WNYC – 820 AM – www.wnyc.org
Washington, DC – 8 pm Eastern – WAMU – 88.5 FM – www.wamu.org
Los Angeles – 12 pm Pacific – KPCC – 89.3 FM – www.kpcc.opg
Boston – 4 pm Eastern – WGBH – 89.7 FM – www.wgbh.org
San Francisco – 2 pm Pacific – KQED – 88.5 FM – www.kqed.org

Will be available on The World’s site later in the day and on my site if you miss the broadcast.

Lemme know if you hear it!

Update: Audio is here!

So glad to be able to follow what you are doing – I first got hooked on your reporting when you were doing the MacWorld podcast. I must have missed the episode announcing your transition away from things – I missed your perspectives and stylistic contributions. Then, I heard a piece you did for NPR a few months later and was relieved you are still in the business. Fun work with your one episode return to MacWorld podcast a few months back. Then I stumbled on your twitter feed, which has been a great easy way to stay connected. I find little time to read traditional longer blogs entries at work or home, but twitter is great since I can quickly stay connected via my blkbry or rss reader.
Anyway – just a way to say it is great to see/hear/read your work,
    Rich

Hi. Came here from the committee to Protect Bloggers’ site. Interesting report – what’s the blog of the woman blogger you interviewed towards the end of the report?

  3. Cyrus Farivar Says:

Sanam Dolatshahi blogs in Persian and English.

Thanks. My first three attempts to get the name spelled right from the radio report didn’t go so well…
