Weekend Food in SF Roundup

Yesterday, before going to a show at Café du Nord, Becky, Leila and I had pizza from Zante’s, which is basically Indian food but on a naan-style dough, in pizza form. Amazing. As Becky said: “I like pizza and I like Indian food. But together . . . oh, man!”

While at Ton Kiang down on Geary in San Francisco today with Garett, Rachel, Eric and Ari, while we were having dim sum we saw Robin Williams for a second before he went upstairs to the VIP room. Dim sum is fantastic. Sticky Rice is incredible, and yes, I even had the chicken feet.

Then Garett and I strolled on 9th Ave. near his new pad in the Inner Sunset and hung out at The Canvas Gallery, a semi-upscale café, art gallery, and bar. We each had a “Spanish Hot Chocolate” ($4), which is described on the online menu as “A rich and thick pudding like traditional Spanish drink” — very accurate. It was basically hot pudding in a big bowl-like mug. Incredibly rich, but oh so delicious.

Tonight, homemade Indian food Chez Priya/Rajesh. I’ll need to hit the gym hardcore this week.
