“If you don’t believe in recompense, who will fix the fence for you?”

So apparently I’m on some kind of kick to winning KALX tickets. I’ve now won tickets to four shows — and haven’t been to any of them. I guess I just happen to be listening while driving and happen to have my phone handy. Although, I probably will go this Friday to see The Wedding Present at Slim’s. I downloaded some of their music off iTunes and have enjoyed ’em so far, particularly “Always the Quiet One” — anyone got any other tunes I should check out? I also have tickets to tonight’s show at Bottom of the Hill, but I don’t think I can give them to anyone else, unfortunately.

Speaking of shows, I found out that Amadou and Mariam are playing at Bimbo’s on Friday, April 28 and Destroyer is playing at Café du Nord on Monday, May 8. On a related note, searching for Dan Bejar on Google turns up the Bejar-O-Matic.

And, it looks like the Sasquatch 2006 lineup has been announced! Becky and I will be going to celebrate the tail end of our Vancouver 2006 road trip and our last hurrah before our mad dash back to the Bay Area. Neko Case, The Decemberists, The Shins, Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, The Flaming Lips — woo hoo!
