Who wants Gmail?
Without ever having sent a Gmail message, I have six invites now. Who’s interested?

I have email, Internet, and I can post to/read LJs!
Wow, my phone is among the coolest gadgets that I’ve owned yet so far. And did I mention that it has a camera on it too? Today was my last day of class at Berkeley. It feels rather anti-climactic. See y’all at the Hotsy later on.

T-Mobile is even more awesome than I had thought
So not only does my phone do Bluetooth, and sync with iCal and my Address Book on my Mac, (not to mention act as a remote for my iTunes and DVD Player), but for an additional $5/month, I can get WAP Internet access on the phone, and send/receive unlimited POP3 emails (and they support SSL!). One problem though is that it doesn’t actually download the messages off the server, it merely forwards them to the phone, so if I’m out…

Bluetooth rules
I wouldn’t have bought my new slick phone without the great help of Rachel. Really though, she was instrumental in my getting that phone and price matching and all that stuff. And she says: “When all the ladies see that you have Bluetooth, they’ll be chomping at the bit.” (Rachel: “Cause Bluetooth — it can go farther than the pheromones, honey.”) Honestly though, it really is cool. It has Bluetooth, and integrates with iCal, and my Address Book, and I…

Free WiFi at SBC Park
“We’ve created, if not the largest, one of the largest hot spots in the world,” said Larry Baer, the team’s chief operating officer. “We’re the first professional sports facility to provide people universal WiFi connectivity.” Yay! Free WiFi!

Nifty Sticker Creator
Wil Wheaton (yes, that Wil Wheaton) points to a sticker creator thingy, which I’ve used to make some on my blog site. Neat.

I’m happy to be wearing shorts again
Weekend’s been pretty chill thus far. Today I strolled around Berkeley with Giselle and Rachel after hearing Firoozeh Dumas do a reading/signing about Funny in Farsi which was cool. I was happy that it was 70 degrees today for the first time in awhile, and I could meander about like a true Californian in my shorts, t-shirt, sandals, and shades. I bought ST:TNG Season 2 from Rasputin’s on Friday night, which was great. I’m going to watch an episode or…

iPod Trend
Macworld’s Editor Jason Snell postulates on the future of iPods: Is this the beginning, middle, or end of a trend to photograph statues with iPods attached to them? Can the Lincoln Memorial or, more importantly, the Sun God be far behind? But Cyrus is far from the only person walking the campus of UC Berkeley, iPod in hand. Today’s edition of the Berkeley campus newspaper the Daily Californian features an amusing opinion column by Anna Kaufman about being one of…

Just a Little Cyber Civil Disobidience
So I usually don’t listen to American rap, but I will say that “The Grey Album” is pretty interesting. Today is Grey Tuesday, meaning that for 24 hours, various websites are posting DJ Danger Mouse’s “The Grey Album” on their sites in its entirety to protest EMI’s decision to censor this work. “The Grey Album” is a great mixture of The Beatles’ 1968 “The White Album” and Jay-Z’s “The Black Album”. Anyway, if you have a few minutes, go snag…
