In 2009 and 2010, Cyrus Farivar was invited to speak at the University of Wisconsin Madison, Engineers Without Borders 2009 Conference (Milwaukee), CCDCOE (Tallinn, Estonia), Calvin College (Grand Rapids, Michigan), Texas A&M University and most recently at the Global Voices 2010 Summit in Santiago, Chile.

He is fluent in English and French and can speak some Persian and is currently attempting to learn German as quickly as possible.
