Auf Wiedersehen!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Greetings from Berlin, where I&#8217;m crashing with <a href=\"http:\/\/johnborland.com\/wordpress\/\">John<\/a> and Aimee for one night before heading onto Geneva. Well, more accurately I&#8217;ve just done my crashing for the night, seeing as it&#8217;s morning here now. But they&#8217;ve been gracious hosts in their apartment just off of Bornholmer Stra\u00c3\u0178e in the northeastern part of the city.<\/p>\n<p>Last night we walked around the neighborhood, hit up a bar, went out for Japanese food, and then hit up another bar on the way home. John remarked that the weather was 3 degrees C &#8220;and melty&#8221; &#8212; most of the little snow that was on the ground has since turned into slush. <\/p>\n<p>J &#038; A are the latest people among <a href=\"http:\/\/www.elizabethsvoboda.com\">others<\/a> that I know who make a very strong case for living in Berlin (particularly having come from San Francisco). That&#8217;s definitely something worth exploring in the future, not to mention the rest of this city.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m off to Geneva today for the final leg of this five week trip. Sheesh, it&#8217;s been five and a half years since the last time I was there.
