I dropped my <i>The New Yorker<\/i> subscription months ago as it would come too fast before I would have a chance to read it. <i>The Atlantic<\/i> is monthly, and as such, I usually make time to read it. That being said, I find myself only reading a few of the articles in the magazine &#8212; and now that the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mediabistro.com\/fishbowlny\/magazines\/the_atlantic_tears_down_their_paywall_75495.asp#more\">paywall is coming down<\/a>, I will just let my subscription lapse and will read it <a href=\"http:\/\/www.theatlantic.com\/doc\/200801u\/editors-note\">exclusively online<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p>There was a time when I thought that weekly\/monthly glossies would outlast daily newspapers, but now I&#8217;m not so sure.<\/p>\n<p>That said, go read the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.theatlantic.com\/doc\/200801\/goldberg-mideast\">cover story<\/a> about reshaping the Middle East.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Atlantic is the last magazine that I still pay for.
