Happy New Year!<\/p>\n

While I’m unable to celebrate Noruz<\/a> with my family<\/a> in California this year, I will be thinking of them and all others who are celebrating this holiday. <\/p>\n

Feel free to enjoy a photo of the haft seen at Le Vent de Perse<\/a>, the local Lyon shop where I’ve been taking Persian lessons, and to enjoy this recent piece of Noruz reportage on Pulse of the Planet<\/a>. Oh, and here’s my haft seen from last year<\/a>, in Oakland.<\/p>\n

On Monday night, I plan on making Persian food for the Bex<\/a> and I, John<\/a>, Aimee<\/a>, Lucy<\/a> and Lo\u00efc<\/a>. <\/p>\n

In the meantime, enjoy this Noruz message from President Obama. (Man, am I the only one who still gets chills when I hear this phrase?) <\/p>\n
