So begins (or rather ends) another week in New York. I saw this painted on the side of a building walking east on Baltic St. in Brooklyn not 15 minutes ago. <\/p>\n

I’m out here killing time\/exploring the nabe as I came from Cobble Hill, where my potential French tutee lives. I was just interviewed by her Mom at their nice brownstone. Don’t know if I’ll get it, but things seemed promising. In a little more than an hour, I have to be at the Community Board 8 monthly meeting. Not really looking forward to it, but hey, that’s life.<\/p>\n

I headed east on Baltic St. and came to 5th Ave. and discovered what in a matter of minutes has become my new favorite coffee house (and yes, I still don’t drink coffee): Gorilla Coffee<\/a>. Why, you ask? Well, when I stepped in there were no less than four people sitting at tables with their iBooks\/Powerbooks popped open, enjoying WiFi goodness. The shop has notices that they’re fair trade coffee and they have a neat logo of a red gorilla — oh, and they make a pretty darn good iced mocha too. <\/p>\n

Afternoon get together with Heidi on Friday. I have an audition for the Columbia Wind Ensemble<\/a> on Saturday. Wish me luck. <\/p>\n

And it seems that there’s some speculation in the blogosphere that the newly released Bush documents were forged.<\/a><\/p>\n

Oh, and Colin Powell finally came to his senses.<\/a><\/p>\n
