Sucks.<\/p>\n<p>While out in Ozone Park, I bought a roti at a Trinidadian place and a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ocf.berkeley.edu\/~cfarivar\/photos\/solo_big.jpg\">Solo soda.<\/a> (I love the image imprinted on the bottle &#8212; the side text reads: &#8220;High in Quality&#8221;)<\/p>\n<p>And in what could be some very good news <a href=\"http:\/\/www.samuelfreedman.com\/faq.html\">Prof. Freedman<\/a> is interested in my book idea, which I&#8217;m keeping under wraps for now. Damn, if that went through and I got a book advance &#8212; that would be just so frickin&#8217; cool. We&#8217;ll see.<\/p>\n<p>Just finished <I>One Palestine, Complete<\/i>, the day after Arafat&#8217;s death. Somehow seems fitting. Am now reading <I>Serpent in Paradise<\/i>, a British woman&#8217;s account of living on Pitcairn Island in the 1990s.
