I had a dream that Luis Gonzalez was up to bat for the D’Backs against the Dodgers. The D’Backs were already winning 9-0. (When I fell asleep, in real life the D’Backs were winning 3-2 in the 7th. They won the game by the same score.)<\/p>\n

There was a man on second, and Luis Gonzalez<\/a> hit a ground-rule double to straightaway center, scoring the other guy, making it 10-0. As he trotted around the bases he raises his arms and made the “V” sign with both hands. I remember hearing Vin Scully say: “It’s a double-double!” (The previous batter had doubled, too.)<\/p>\n

The crowd went nuts. (I don’t remember what ballpark it was.) But then for some reason the game stopped and Luis Gonzalez trotted out to centerfield and said that he wanted to thank God for this acheivement. And he also wanted to thank Aer Lingus<\/a>. For some reason he’d be equipped with a cordless mic so the whole ballpark could hear him. <\/p>\n

And then, as I looked to the crowd of people (my perspective must have been from around the infield or something) that had started to gather on the field with him in this confusing aura of greatness, I saw Osama bin Laden seated nearby and was nodding his head — as if he was Luis Gonzalez’ biggest fan. <\/p>\n
