Not too large.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.latimes.com\/news\/local\/la-061605quake_lat,0,7523966.story?coll=la-home-headlines\">LA Times<\/a>:<\/p>\n<p><I>An earthquake struck Southern California early this afternoon, shaking buildings across the region from the desert to the Pacific Ocean.<\/p>\n<p>The quake measured 5.3, according to the Brian Grade, a spokesperson for the National Earthquake Center in Golden, Colorado. The quake struck at 1:53 p.m. Pacific time<\/p>\n<p>A quake that size is widely felt and can cause slight damage near the epicenter.<\/p>\n<p>The epicenter was three miles east-northeast of Yucaipa in San Bernardino County. A Sheriff&#8217;s Department spokesman said there were no immediate reports of damage.<\/p>\n<p>The quake was felt in downtown Los Angeles, Palm Desert, and buildings swayed on the Westside.<\/p>\n<p>It was the third significant quake to strike the state since Sunday, when a magnitude 5.2 quake shook the Anza area of Riverside County.
