Dad<\/a> warmed me to the idea. Then Rachel reminded me that I really don’t want to go (which is true). Then I went to CT and talked with Heidi, and she reminded me of how cool it could be and how I’d meet people and whatever — and then I talked to Rachel (and Rachel R.) and they both pointed out to me that I simply don’t want to go. I frankly don’t give a shit about what the cultural impacts of Internet media are — I just want to write, dammit.<\/p>\nI’m not afraid of the real world — it’s something I’ve wanted for a long time, but it seems like that it’s a bad time to jump in, but I suppose I don’t have a choice. I don’t really want to go to grad school. I’ll get a hodgepodge of jobs and do what I have to do to stay afloat and hopefully can turn that into something for a job. <\/p>\n
So that’s where I am right now. A few days ago, I was getting all psyched to go to Georgetown and be with some other SM kids who are moving to DC — but now I’m not so sure. I’m just confused and annoyed with this hard decision. <\/p>\n
