Boing Boing<\/a> posted this list of the World Livestock Auctioneer Championships<\/a>. This is pretty amazing. I’m thinking that they’d sound good also mixed with an electronic\/techno track. I’ll try one later today. When I showed my co-worker, Curt Poff<\/a>, our resident Midwesterner — he hails from outside St. Joseph, MO — he told me that his father is a professional auctioneer. That’s pretty sweet. <\/p>\n

This is a part of America that I know nothing about. On the American (Hadsell) side of my family, we were farmers about four generations back, outside Fresno. <\/p>\n

I’d love to see one of these auctions in person.<\/p>\n

took a look at the site and i know the 1975 Champion (Ron Ball) he used to work at the Grant City barn in the late 60’s. I heard him many times when I worked for Purina and worked out of Sheridan Feeder Supply. He moved to Colorado and went to work there.<\/i><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
