No further news from the grad school front.
In other randomness, though, I ran into David P. Jacob on campus today walking out of Barrows Hall. He was dealing with some bureaucratic stuff about graduating, even though he’s not actually walking (he’ll be in Germany). He, and his Persian girlfriend Maryam and I had lunch at Ruen Pair, a great Thai restaurant in Albany. It’s always good to run into old friends.
I’ve finally finished my rough Farsi translation of my Iranian.com article. Jeez this thing took awhile. I’m supposed to use the translation for my oral presentation in Farsi class on Wednesday.
Tomorrow is election day, so y’all better go vote. I’m voting for Edwards. In addition, I’m ditching Econ (for the second lecture in a row) in favor of attending a concert by Cake in Sacramento with Krishna. If I was really a conscientious student, I would spend that time on my thesis instead. HmmmÉmaybe I’ll ditch J298 and use that time to work on my thesis instead. Either way, I’ll have to spend the bulk of Wednesday cranking out my third chapter. I’m already at 55 pages of text.
Busy. Too busy.
