Ask not for whom the Campanile tolls

I’m back in B-town. Or rather, technically, Oaktown, at my new digs in North Oakland, which are totally sweet.

For the record, Maria and Lauren are awesome for coming to pick me up and Rich and Boyk are awesome for helping me move my brother’s stuff the other night.

I won a pair of free tickets from KALX to this show at 12 Galaxies in the Mission on Wednesday night. First person who emails me who wants them can have them. I can’t go. Speaking of which, I want to be a DJ at KALX.

I drove across the Bay Bridge today and it was totally gorgeous. Oh, and I had three mojitos at Lydia Chavez’ today, celebrating the release of Capitalism, God, and a Good Cigar. I bought one for the bargain price of $15.

Speaking of books, tomorrow at 7:30 at Cody’s on Telegraph is the signing/reading of the Chowhound Guide to SF. Boyk and I are both mentioned in it. Dinner with the illustrious Melanie Wong should follow.

It’s good to be back.
