That’s right, a quick check of my referral logs show that the good folks over at WookieFetish.com, or more accurately, their forum, seemed to pay attention to my post about Greenlighters. Welcome, friends. (More below the fold)

Update (12:06 pm) : HOAX CONFIRMED
In about a weeks time I am going to release a fake rumour to popbitch. This is a weekly gossip email read by tens of thousands of people (if not 100,000s)
It will be along the lines of “A well known soap star
was seen greelighting for ladies after live8″ this and a select few other replies about greenlighting will spread the meme “green lighter” to uk journos Then 2-3 days after we will start sending well crafted (ie not LOL SEX) emails to UK tabloids about a new scandal sweeping the UK called green lighting. We are going to need pictures and maybe a celeb in green.
Ok, let’s see how long it takes for them to figure out that I’ve infiltrated their forum by using my real name (“cfarivar”).

Blog Postdating
If you own a blog, now is the time to enter some post-dated blog entries in your site. You MAY NOT LINK TO THE GL FORUMS in a post-dated blog entry, for the obvious reason that the forums didn’t exist. Feel free to link to any other blackhole URL that doesn’t exist anymore (with something GL-related in the url), or the fake geocities site or the links contained in the fake geocities site. Use your best judgement. Don’t all link to the same place. Remember, lots of people greenlight in their own little cliques all over. There was no Greenlight Central.

If you have an “old” forums account on whatever forum (this means a forum account at least 4-6 months old) then we need you to do the following:
– Post like a regular user for several days if your account is not currently been used for posting. Your first post should not be GL-related.
– Post a thread in the “Sex” or “general chat” section of a forum. You have two choices for threads.CHOICE ONE: The thread should have a title of something similar to but not exactly “do any of you guys greenlight?” and you will not provide any detail about the activity. After several of the inevitable “wtf are you talking about” replies, then reply with a short synopsis of what greenlighting is. Usernames starting with A-F and O-U may post links to the greenlighter.org forums; other usernames may not post links. Act like you are a greenlighter.
CHOICE TWO: Don’t act like you’re a greenlighter but pretend you’ve seen it or noticed something strange. Possible posts could be “what’s with all the collars pulled up on green shirts” or “last night i saw something weird happen” or something similar.
Ideally we want 50% of choice one and 50% of choice two.
Notes: Your first post should not be about GL. Make sure you have an established forums/blog account and a good posting history. Try not to break the rules of any forums you’re in. If your account there gets bounced then it won’t do any good.
