My name is Andrew Curtis and I teach Journalism at a high school called Morris Knolls in NJ. One of my students has written an article about iPod University and came across your 2/12/04 pictures of Pappy Waldorf and your iPod through Google images. I told him that before we could use any of the photos we had to contact the photographer and ask approval. Yakov Trubman, the student in question wanted to use photo DSCF0051.jpg (the head on shot w/ iPod in hand).
Our paper is called “The Quill”, and it is a free paper that we only publish 3-5 times a year and distribute to the student body (about 1,600 kids). Your picture would be clearly credited.
Please let me know if this is ok with you (email me a quick or long note at mkquillmail@gmail.com) as it really is a very cool picture for the article topic. They talked staging a similar shot at Rutgers, but I told them that stealing a cool idea is just a crappy a move as using a photo without seeking approval.
