My Guest Post on GigaOm
Apparently because of the genius of my previous post, Om Malik asked me to convert it into a longer entry for his blog. And so I did. He now owes me a sandwich.

Bay Area DSL
So my AT&T (formerly SBC) DSL costs me $40 a month for DSL service and a landline phone that I never use. My contract is up in early June, so I decided to explore my options for DSL in the area. I don’t want Cable, because I don’t need the TV service, as I don’t have a TV. What I found out: – Comcast will sell you just Internet for $60/month. In the words of Om Malik “Not bad for…

Mr. Pibb + Red Vines = Crazy Delicious
Alright, alright, so I’m a little slow on the Chronicles of Narnia SNL rap. But it’s damn great. Now children, as an excercise, let’s compare blog/media coverage of this event: NYT: Publication Date: December 27, 2005 Summary: Two white guys create the startup version of comedy. The Web helps them to get famous. Best line: And Mr. Samberg found himself in the delicate position of having to explain to his mother that the song’s chorus is a play on words…

iTunes Signature Maker
I found this on diggdot.us today, the iTunes Signature Maker, a web program that analyzes your music in your iTunes library and spits out a 15 second “audio signature”, a sort of weird but cool artificial mix of your music. Mine is here. Included in it (in order) are excerpts from these works: The New Pornographers – Miss Teen Wordpower Gustav Mahler – Symphony No. I, Mvt. 1 The New Pornographers – Jackie, Dressed in Cobras Matchbox 20 – 3…

Michael Rice (a buddy of mine from J-School) points to the fact that Columbia has renamed their email system: I’m flattered. 😉
